hi, i went through a divorce, the judge rule that my husband give me certain amout of money in a year, a year and a half gone by, but my lawyer keep telling me he have to go file papers, get bank sweeps and all sorts of things and he keep taking money from me..i have a feeling he just trying to rip me off, i dont have enough money to give him. I dont understand if the judge says i have to get this money, why am i still paying my lawyer to do things, when my lawyer says i will give him my balance when the job is done, please help me to understand this better.
ebay seller sent fake item then wouldnt give addres for return now wants it back
I ordered an item on Ebay. BUT it was fraudulent (fake nike shoes).I asked for refund. Seller claims wasn�t fake. I can prove it is. Asked seller on 2 occasions for his address so I could return item. Address not supplied couldn�t return item. next step call my credit card co and file a dispute claim. They asked for proof of why I filed a dispute. Submitted 26 pages of documentation.They sided with me. They asked if I had sent item back to seller. I told them no seller hasn�t provided his address to return. They asked for proof of me requesting his address, I supplied proof. they sided with me I had asked for sellers address 2 occasions and wasn�t provided. thought all resolved. But just received an email from seller saying �I would like to know would you take $30 to send the shoes back? If no response you leave me no choice but to subpoena you to the Van Nuys Court house to deal with my Pre-Paid legal Attorney.� my question is Can he actually subpoena me to have to appear in court in LA when I live elsewhere? Can I request a change of venue to make him come to me? Since shoes are fake do I have to return to seller or can I send to Nike counterfeit dept? In case it matters the shoes were $480
Sick Days exceed sick leave provision
We have a substitute teacher who, by contract, is allowed up to 10 days sick leave for the school year. He has no vacation pay other than the 11 school holidays that all employees receive. He has been sick more than his 10 days. Can we not pay him for the days that he is not at work? We don't have language in our personnel handbook that addresses this? What are our options? He is an at-will employee.
