my husband had a verbal agreement (about holding a tournament) with a business owner , this business owner backed out on following through with what was promised and my husband was left with all the flyers with the business name on it and basically wasted $400...is there a way to take this to the small claims court if the business owner does not agree to pay him, even after a civil conversation?.....there are emails exchanged between them, that shows that there was a verbal agreement. please, help

Yes, even a verbal agreement can be enforced.

Just go to your local clerk of courts office or website and they will have the proper form to fill out.

You will have to pay a filing fee, however.
