My son just got out of prison July 5th of this year. He was arrested on grand theft. Does the reoffender law pertain to him? He took his biological mothers car and stole some things from Walmart. I am in Indiana taking care of business for my sister but he is in Florida? He turned 19 so he is a adult. Do you know the maximum sentence he could get with this reoffender law?

I assume you are asking about PRR. It shouldn't apply. However the state can ask for the maximum and it varies by degree of felony. Could be 5, 15, or 30 years depending on how much was taken.
