I got a dui in 2016, convicted in 2017, paid all fines and did the dui program. I was a former VA resident and had a license there but was convicted on my CA license. VA sent me a renewal notice after completing everything because my old license was due to expire. Not sure how my job was going with the possibility of moving back to VA, I renewed my license. Didn’t end up moving, and went to the CA DMV to change something and they said there was a hold on my account from VA, and that I had to fulfill all of VA’s requirements for a DUI and pay $220 to reinstate my VA license. Should I be required to do this since I no longer need my VA license?
Give up your VA license and get a CA license. That is the easiest thing to do. Confirming you are living in CA ?
need much more info and both you and i would probably need the assistance of a lawyer from VA to answer.
not sure how that could happen but with my billing at $750/hr it is not worth your money for me to look into this
