I have a bedridden mother that I take care of her home 24/7. My older sister got my mother to sign power of attorney to her without my mother realizing what she had signed. So my mother revoke that. They were selling her property without her permission and now trying to sell her home and put her in a nursing home so my siblings can split estates. They can't do it anymore since my mom revoked my older sister. Now I went to go check the mail and they had canceled my mothers mailbox and has my mail to be returned head hurts forward it to my older brother in a different state. He has no power of attorney so I don't know how he did that and they won't give me back my mom's mailbox that she has had for almost 40 years! I am running out things to do to stop them from taking her out of her home because she wants to die in her home and she deserves to. I've already made countless police reports against them I'm real good friends with the chief of police he agrees with me, what eles can I do?
You should report elder financial exploitation to Adult Protective Services, a part of the Texas Department of Family Protective Services. You can file a Suggestion of Need of Guardian in the county where you live. If you are in Bexar County you should contact the Probate Court. In Medina and Atascosa Counties you'll probably need to contact the County Courts or County Courts at Law. Regardless of which county you are in, find an attorney nearby who has handled contested guardianship matters.
You should contact an attorney about filing an Application for Guardianship to ask a Court to make you the guardian of your mother.
