how do i get my child out of a combo class, she is very bright & was put into a 1st/2nd combo. I do not feel that she is being challenged. What recourse does my daugter have if fallsbhind? Ive already spoke to princple however doesn't look like they are going to budge. BTW this school takes a lot of tranfer kids not fom our neighborhood, & i pay top tax dollars for this particular school!

I am unhappy the private school my daughter is currently attending. I will be applying to other private schools in hopes of moving her. I believe the school will try to hurt our applications by writing things that aren't true. My daughter is an excellent student and has NEVER been in trouble there - all her progress reports state she is thriving and exceeding in every way. Can I ask that the school give me copies of the forms they fill out and mail directly to the schools we are applying to????????

She is Russian descent US citizen. She was prohibited to talk to other Russian girl in Russian language during the lunch brake in school. Does school have a legal right to do that?

Hi I am attending a community college and I had enrolled into a class which I was put on a waiting list which I was third in line. On my first day to attend the class in hopes that some people wouldn't show up and I would be added, the teacher print the wait list which he roll called and I found out I wasn't on the list. I talked to him and later after the class I emailed him telling him about my concerns of not being on the list. The following day i went to the admissions office to try and get to the bottom of this and I was told they didn't know why i wasn't on the list that it showed I was 3rd. Unfortunately i was told they couldn't print it out, so to talk to the teacher, so I emailed him telling him if he could go to the admissions office so that he can see the proof that i was 3rd. Later on in the day he emailed me that he was sorry but he added the first 5 wait list students off his bogus list, completely ignoring my concerns and flags to try and resolve my problem even though i should have been 3rd. Now my question is can I sue the school for being treated unfair? things i have done is talk to the teacher emailed him twice and talked to the admissions office. Tomorrow on Wednesday 9-1-10 i will talk to a counselor

I am a graduate student. I am taking a course , and was given previous notes, quizzes and study materials from a student from a previous semester. As students often share notes from semester to semester.The same instructor is teaching this course. The instructor never collected the quizzes from the previous semesters. I was recently caught by this instructor with the prior quiz in my possession. The instructor never bothered to change the questions, and I'm now being accused of cheating. I had no prior knowledge that the instructor was planning on using the same exact quiz as the previous semester, after all , he didn't collect the quizzes, and told us he was going to make a new exam for this term. I am being accused of cheating. Is this my fault, or the instructors fault. My intention was to use the previous exam as a study guide, not for cheating. I feel like I was being set up to fail, and that who knows how many other students may have had the same access to this quiz and never got caught.

If I am unhappy with dicipline at my sons school because of bullying is there any legal action a person can take? Isn't staff responsible for my child's physical and emotional well being while on campus? Since I am homeschooling my son am I entitled to any monetary reimbursement( the school is getting paid and I am doing the teaching?)

Recently, I turned in confidential documents including; parent's tax forms, parent's W2's, and my W2's to my local public community college. I handed all of the documents to the financial aid lady about a week ago. Today, I went to ask her how much longer the process would take, and she claims that I never gave her the documents. Now the confidential documents are missing. No less than 4 people watched me hand her the papers. I was just wondering if there was anything I could do. Its not that I can't get more copies of the papers, its because I don't like the idea that my parent's and my information are missing.

Today my Principle said my hair was to long and gave me a one day notice to get it cut on a church night while a football practice that day after school! i had to cut my hair by myself, and he would not let me go to class till i got it cut short enough it there anything illegal with this?

I was delusional for about a year before someone noticed and I was hospitalized. During my delusional period I was enrolled in school and I habitually would fail to show up after most of the semester as a result of my delusions. I wish to remove those grades from my transcript since I was not in my right mind when I enrolled. Am I entitled to have this done?

Can I file an Article 78 petition against a college denying my disability-related request to withdraw from a class resulting in an "F" grade? Then denying my application for an extension of time so that I can repeat the class (allowed for in bulletin), reason given is that I have exhausted the amount of time permitted for a graduate degree? 2. They give him access to this site from the school computer?

3. kaboommagazine.com is allowed by the school computer?

I am a student that is currently home schooled, but I like to participate in my old public school district's field trips. Some administrators say that I cannot participate because I'm not apart of the school distract. Is that true? And if it is, how would I legally be able to go on these trips? if my children missed more than 100 days of school since the end of 2008 at the hands of my ex husband, how do I report this truancy? He claims it was because of moving but its a lot more than that, it doesn't take 6 weeks to move from texas to california, and it doesnt take six more weeks to enroll them and it doesnt take six weeks to move to north carolina.

I recently signed a contract with a private school because I felt that it was my only option. I was home schooled this year and I went to the public school in my area the year before. I didn't like either of these so we (my parents and I) signed the contract with the private school even though I don't totally want to go there. But over the summer I was invited to a prestigious ballet academy in Moscow (I'm a dancer) and it would be a life changing experience to be able to train there. The only problem is that the private school is refusing to let us out of the contract. I am desperate to go to this school in Moscow but my family can't afford to walk away from the money we put into the private school. What can I do to get out of the contract with the private school?
