Oil spills left by owner's of mineral rights on my private property.

I own 98 acres in Crocket County, Texas. A gas company owns the minerals rights on my land. They have capped of several of their pumps and in doing so have spilled alot of oil onto the land. What steps do I take to make them clean up / contain the contaminated areas? Is my land ruined? If it is, what are my rights?

Toxic Cleanup

The chemical perc was found in the ground of my drycleaning business. This was due to contamination from prior owners/operators. I have since been evicted and have been billed for the cleanup by the property owner. What are the options available to me? Is there any way to recover any of my losses?

1989 Exxon oil spill judgement

I was stationed on Shemya Air Base, Alaska between 5/88 and 5/89. The Exxon oil spill occured 3/24/89. Technically, I was an Alaskan resident during this time. Can I share in the settlement?

property flooding

what can we do about a creek that runs through our property in heath tx , the creek keeps overflowing and flooding our entire property 1.3 acres on the latest flood our garage was flooded causing water damage , we have had to request several times to the highway dept to clean out the bridge that is very close to the property to help with the flooding , we do not have flood ins. the area is not considered a flood plain and the runoff also from the new school is flowing through our property , do we need a lawyer to file a suit against the city?

Private Lake or not

For many years Highland Lake was considered a private lake, the lake bottom being owned by the homeowners association. There is no public access to the lake. Since it is spring fed there is an overflow tube screened which runs on to the Renwood Golf course. Now we are told that the lake is a navigable lake and subject to IDNR rules. We stock our lake, control weeds etc. We have a rule no motors. We believe an ex policeman who wants to run his motor boat has employed the services of the IDNR officer to harrass the residents. Does the IDNR have rights on what we believe to be a Private Lake.

Mineral rights

My parents have been offered a substantial amt of money for their mineral rights to their land. They declined because the money would disqualify them from their SSI & VA Benefits. The rep told them that they could lose their mineral rights anyway by imminent domain from the gas company. Is this true? They live in Arkansas.

My wife and I live in Maryland but own property in Butler County Pennsylvania. Our neighbors had their property logged. In the process the people that logged their property crossed the property line and cut some of our trees down after being told by a friend that he thought they were over the property line. Noise Pollution with gun ranges

Is there any legal right we have as a neighbor to shut down a shooting gun range? We live in the country and a gun range opened up very very near us. It is extrememley loud and very annoying. A lot of neighbors have complained about the noise, but we don't know if there is anything we can do. I can't open my windows in nice weather because its even louder. Any suggestions?

My neighbor's residential lot had flooding issues. He has brought in several feet of soil to remedy his problem. His problem has now become my problem. His lot is now dry and mine holds water up to 1ft deep around the perimeter of my yard when it rains. I have complained to the HOA, city planner and city engineer. Dog abuse - can you bring suit?

If I have witnessed strong verbal abuse by my neighbor to his dog who admitted hitting her before but I didnt see that, and I see that the dog is afraid of him, so there's probably some ongoing physical abuse too, and I reported this to animal control who told me the abuse wasnt serious enough to require removal from the home, how do I or can I go about getting animal control to remove the dog, so I could try to adopt her? (She is a mutt, not a purebred, but a really nice dog.) I cannot find any environmental attorney listings in my area, either, I live in a small town. Thank you for any advice.
