Oil spills left by owner's of mineral rights on my private property.
I own 98 acres in Crocket County, Texas. A gas company owns the minerals rights on my land. They have capped of several of their pumps and in doing so have spilled alot of oil onto the land. What steps do I take to make them clean up / contain the contaminated areas? Is my land ruined? If it is, what are my rights?

The obligations for the oil spills are typically governed by specific provisions of the lease agreement allowing the company to drill on your property. If there was no lease agreement, there may be common law remedies, depending upon how long ago this occurred.
