my bf just got arrested but it took the da 18 months to file charges they never arrested him so what do we do. see his wife was having affair n he caught them together at a party and so they got into a fight and he left so several guys follwed him walking home and they got into another fight and he stabbed the driver n the other guys n the back stabbed him so after the fight he left the pd never arrested him or anything and now 18 months later they file charges

He was only recently arrested probably because only recently did law enforcement believe they had sufficient evidence against him. He needs to hire a lawyer, and no one, at all, should be discussing this story with anyone, except that lawyer.
