can a tenant sue a contractor hired by the landlord

i am a tenant, my landlord hired a bad contractor who caused property damage to my stuff. i am alredy suing the landlord, but someone suggested i add the contractor to the complaint too.

can i sue the contractor even though i didn't sign the construction contract with him? please help!

Yes. There doesn't need to be a contractual relationship between you and the contractor. If he damaged your stuff, you have an action against him in tort.
