Co-Guardians

I was appointed guardian of my mother for her person, and guardian of her estate along with a court appointed guardian (for her finances only). My question is: Do I have to get approval from the co-guardian on how much I spend for my mother's care, and do I need approval on everything I need to buy my mother for her needs? How exactly does this work with co-guardians. Thanks for any replies.

Re: Co-Guardians

Yes, you need to coordinate with your co-guardian of the property on spending issues. As a practical matter it be a pita, but once you get a system in place it will become less burdensome. Keep every receipt and keep careful records for the report you'll have to file annually.

Good luck.
