Contractor Lawsuit
Hi,
We paid a contractor 25K to do some work on our house. It's been 10 months and still the work is incomplete. The contractor took the money and used it for other purposes and refuses to show up. Is there a way we can get our money back? Since he used the money for other purposes and we paid in full can this be considered fraud?

Yes, it would appear that you could have viable cause(s) of action for breach of contract and, perhaps, other counts against this contractor for his failure to properly complete the work that had been previously agreed to in this particular contract.
