Discrimination against pregnancy

I was recently forced to quit my job due to them cutting my hours from 40 hours a week, to one day a week, after finding out that I am pregnant. Of course they did not come out and say this, but what else would have changed so abruptly in one week? My bosses excuse was my performance has been weak, and that im lazy now. When one week ago at my little review, she told me she's never had one complaint about me, EVER. So funny how things change...any advice?

Re: Discrimination against pregnancy

It sounds to me as if you might have a case against your employer for discrimination and retaliation because of your pregnancy. One would hope that you kept your written reviews.

Contact an employment lawyer in your area immediately to explore your options, or feel free to contact me later on Monday to discuss.
