DNA request to determine Paternity

There is a court order stating the father is the parent of a child. The father initially thought the child was his and is paying child support, however he is now unsure whether he is the biological father of this child. Will a judge grant a request for DNA to determine paternity?

Re: DNA request to determine Paternity

Under TX law there are six different ways that the courts determine paternity. Once paternity is established the courts are hesitant in retracting paternity becuase of the physical and psychological effects upon the child(ren). Depending on how old the child(ren) is will be one of the influencing matters is whether a judge will allow a request to establish paternity.
