dogs barking

I have to little yorkies that i guess according to annoymious neighbors (that leave threating notes on my door) that bark alot when I let them out side before I go to work. I live in a small apartment complex which does allow dogs. So my question is what are the time frames which i can let my dogs outside. I don't want this to conflict with laws california may have and i know its annoying when dogs bark but I have no other option but to let them outside. Please help.

Re: dogs barking

Hello!

HNY.

First, whether the dog(s) are little or large is irrelevant. Second, THERE IS NO SPECIFIC California law that allows dogs to "bark" only within certain hours of the day. Third, if the barking is such that it "disturbs" neighbors (as it obviously does) you can be turned in to the "Government" (usually animal control) as a "Public Nuisance." This can even result in a criminal prosecution against you!

This can be serious. You just cannot let the dogs "bark all day" but if they are occasionally barking, passing cars, trucks, etc., then some barking is "normal." It is a matter of degree. The "proof problem" is that you're not home and your neighbors are!

It may come down to a daily recording of activities.

Have you tried to confine the dogs to a smaller area?

I hope this has been helpfull.

Sincerely,
