Employer law

I have worked with a contractor as an assistant and have not been paid for over 30 days. I do not work with him anymore and he is trying to say that i need to copmlete touchups on houses where he paid me hourly. He says that he will take money away and he has already not paid me for other work we did with centex home where he was paid in full and did not pay me in full when he was. Need to know if i can sue him for money owed and interest, and collection attempts. No contract was signed but an oral agreement was made for 16.00 dollars and hour.

Re: Employer law

http://www.in.gov/labor/wagehour/ Contact the Indiana Department of Labor for assistance. Use the form to request a wage investigation. You probably can succeed in a civil case, and maybe have your attorney fees paid. But I suggest you try the DOL first. Good luck.
