If people post your personal info on the web

I know that if you post your own

information on the internet, you do it at

your own risk but what happens if

someone else, e.g. a close friend posts

some information about you on the

internet you don't want read.

This may be a case of catching more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Ask the "friend" to remove it.

Ask the site operator to remove it.

Decide if it's worth ending the friendship.

If so, consult a lawyer.

If the material is true, and just somewhat embarassing, you may not have much of a case... if the info is FALSE... consider a case of Libel.
