invoiced years later for medical service

Hello, I was perscribed a bone stimulator device by my doctor in 2004 for a fracture that was healing inproperly. I was fitted for and given this device by the orthopedic company's sales rep. who submitted the invoice to my insurance company. I received a letter shortly thereafter from my insurance company that the claim was denied by my insurance, but heard nothing from either party again. This month I received an invoice for over $3000 for this device. Is there a statute of limitations on when they can invoice me for this product that my insurance denied payment on?

Re: invoiced years later for medical service

There is a 6 year statute of limitations on contract actions.

How did you fracture your leg? Why is it not healing property? what is the status of your injury as of this date?
