legal precedence

Our school district has a handbook posted on their web site from the school year 2005-2006. I am disputing a rule change in the 2008-2009 handbook. My question is which is considered official the website or the hard copy?

Re: legal precedence

In all likelihood the more current (hard copy) version will be applicable. You didn't indicate whether or not the handbook is with regard to student conduct or teacher conduct. In the case of the latter, handbooks are usually negotiated with union representation. You also didn't indicate what type of school system or level this is.
