Wills

A friend was named PR in her father's estate. She and her sister decided that their brother was a ''terrible'' person and not entitled to anything even tho everything was to be divided equally. She said she didn't know where he was and hadn't been in contact for 15 years. The insurance company managed to find him and pay him his share of the insurance money. They closed the estate and no further money was paid to the brother even tho he was entitled. Isn't this fraud? Did they have the legal right to make this subjective decision? Is there a time limit for the brother to contest it - seems like he is bound to find out at some point in the future? Do I have any obligation to notify anybody about this - and who would that be?

Re: Wills

The brother should immediately visit with an experienced estate lawyer about his rights.
