Due to COVID19 all bars/ restaurants are closed for dine in. I have lost my serving job of 15yrs. I almost have enough for my weekly rent, but that is literally all I have. It would only buy me 1 more week. Everyday the government declares something new. Tomorrow, I believe the whole state will begin lock down and evictions/ utilities suspended until May. I feel I should hold on to what little I have, but they will lock me out at some point, with my pets and property inside. Would they have to let me back in? If I called police? When it's time to shelter in place? I'm just so worried. I wont see any more $ until stimulus or unemployment arrive. Advice please?
Hotels are not subject to the Texas Property Code regarding landlords & tenants. If you don't pay for the room, they don't have to evict you. They can refused to rent the room to you, and ask you to leave.
