I have extreme PTSD/anxiety/and depression. Ive worked at my new job going on 3 months. I was hired directly to the company. I am slightly below the percentage rate that they want everyone to be at (time and production numbers). I am doing my very best. My impairment has an impact on things but Im trying. U have so many weeks to hit the numbers they want or they say they may get rid of you. Is It good to tell them I have an impairment? And it effects me.???... Can they fire me or must they take into consideration my situation????? They say everything else is fine ..just that Im below what they want for the numbers...
The conditions you list, are covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. I know, I had PTSD at one time. You need to document, journal what has happened to you since you joined the company. Just a sentence or two of anything that you think is important with a date and who, what, where..... As you have not told them about your Disability, they do not, to this point, have to do anything. You need to tell them that you have a disability and you are requesting a reasonable accommodation. They will ask you what you want. (They are required to have an interactive process with you.) You need to talk with an attorney who handles Disability cases. Work out with the attorney what would allow you to do the essential requirements of the job. Talk with the attorney and see what you can come up with. How does your disability limit your ability to "make quota.?"
But unless you tell them about your disability you will have nothing.
Contact one or two of us here at Avvo via "Messenger." We cannot by rule contact you first. You have to contact us. Simple give us your phone number or ask for ours. As I can tell this is the most important in your life, or close to it, most of us attorneys would have no problem talking with you on the weekend. Most of us do not charge for a consultation.
Be sure and read my Guides on my Profile page. They cover what HR is like which is important. They also talk about bad bosses. But it does not seem like that is your situation. you just need to have a reasonable accommodation.
You need to discuss with the attorney your pre-employment physical and questionnaire. That is ery important.
