How much time or what is the procedure to be a part of probate of a will. I was never notified until the passing of my step mother. nor the declining health of said person. I would like to somehow protest the will

Do you know if the Will was probated? Better yet, was there a Will? Did your step mother include you in her will?

In order to contest, you would need to l) be a beneficiary of her estate. If her estate is somehow tied to your father's remaining assets there may be some chance of you to have standing in the court to protest. YOu need to schedule an appointment with an attorney.
