I am engaged to be married in CA- my fianc and I pay child support to our "x"s but no alimony. One child is in the state of CA- the other is out of state. Will our incomes be combined and at risk for a higher combined income- higher monthly Payments, or will our salaries be looked at individually? Do we need a Pre- nup to protect our individual income? When we have our updated child support conference do we claim only our individual child or all children after we are married.

Your incomes will be looked at individually except that the tax consequences of being married will be considered.
