I live in Iowa. I want to know what my rights are if we have a teacher who does not teach and instead sits and play inappripiate music and texts. My children came home after having a math class and asked such things as whats masterbation and prostiution. The school for 2 years said they would get problems taken care of . I have now pulled my children out of public school because the school seems to not want to do anything. What are my rights? Why should my children have to go without because the school does not want to do their part? This is actually just the tip of the iceberg my inderstanding is there is also frequently knives ect brought to school with no consequences, the school says its a small school nothing bad can happen here. I think every child deserves a good quality education and just want to know what my rights are ( i know teachers are protected apparently.
