If a Massachusetts nursing home resident requires a Rogers guardianship and this resident has no patient paid amount to deduct the cost from for the guardianship, can the residents's personal needs money be used to pay for this? PLease explain reasons.

The cost of the guardianship itself could be deducted from the MassHealth/Medicaid monies directly. MassHealth approves a certain amount for petitioning attorneys and a certain amount for those serving as guardian. Please contact my office for more information. www.vickstromlaw.com. 508.335.6633.
