I know it sounds funny but, my husband is mentally ill & yet smart. He basically cornered me with this “contract” through text that I either agreed to or would lose my job. Part of that contract is he is able to call me anytime, including during work. Through this, his mental status has gotten worse. If he can’t get ahold of me on my cell phone, he has decided to call my office phone & demand that I get on the phone. It got to the point where he called incessantly one day while I was in an interview with my boss & a candidate. My boss asked me to block his number, I did. He decided to get a burner phone app & start calling from different numbers. I now have over ten numbers blocked by him calling on different ones. Well now with the coronavirus, my boss has decided we work from home. I was at work yesterday tying up loose ends before leaving & it took longer than normal. He went from a good mood, to it getting later & later & his attitude went south. He called me literally almost 600 times. I had to started taking screenshots. Well now because I am not still following the contract, he has decided to post a negative review about me on my employer's google site. What can I do?
I agree that you should speak with an attorney about your options. What he is doing may be criminal harassment and/or blackmail.
You should sit down with an attorney offline to learn about all of your rights and options.
You need to file for divorce and get a restraining order. "Crazy" does not spontaneously improve over time.
Law regarding prompt billing.
My daughter was in an auto accident in 2001. The other party was at fault and their insurance paid all medical bills. Four years after the accident I received a bill from the anesthesiologists. I called them and they admitted they had bookkeeping problems. I told them
they could have been easily paid if they had sent a bill, but the case was closed after two years and that I should not have to be the one to pay for their mistake. They turned the bill over to a collection agency. What are my options? Should I go to small claims court? The amount is $389.00.
school busing law
I live in Rockland County, NY. I have a severely emotionally disabled child. We live in an apartment complex. My child finds it extremely difficult to wait for more than a few minutes for the bus. The bus had been coming into the complex's parking lot for most of the school year, yet a few weeks ago it began going to the appointed bus stop which is on a busy corner. My child has run away while waiting on many occasions. I tried to get them to approve door-to-door busing at his CSE meeting and to have it put into his IEP. The CSE team refused. They are upset because we have had a poor history of getting him to school and being absent. I am unable at times to get him to cooperate and get to the bus stop on time because of his illness. What can I do?
