Isn’t there a law to protect consumers from deposits being non-refundable?

Posted on / Mar. 20, 2020 07:20:00 The terms of your arrangemetn are governed by the contract. It's possible the agreement contains a force majeure cluase which excuses them from performing but I'd imagine in that circuamstance you would be entiteld to your deposit back. That said, what the agreement says on this point controls. You might consider having an attorney review the contract to see what your rights are and retain that lawyer to make an inquiry on your behalf.
