Our office is not open for walk-in and anymore. My assistant still refuses to come to work. She told me she is afraid of the coronavirus and she said she can work at home instead. Our work requires her to help in person sometime but she is “too afraid “ as an employee, what should I do? Do I still need to pay her full time? She is salary base. Thanks
More details of your employee's compensation structure and contract would be needed to fully assess this situation. Private consultation with a labor and employment attorney could provide advice to you on this matter. As a general legal principle, salaried employees need to be paid their salary even when not at work.
