My 16 year old son let a 16 friend drive my car and she wrecked it and now it is totalled. I carry only liability on that vehicle and the person driving is only covered under liability from her family insurance. I was wondering what if any legal action I can try and pursue to recoup my lost vehicle?

If the driver was negligent or wreckless you can sue them and their parents for the fair market value of your bvehicle, or the cost of repair, whichever is less. If the driver of another vehicle is at fault for your loss, you can also sue that driver.

Good luck
