My husband and i seperated back in 08. legally we have 50/50 custody . but our son lived with my husband. he got deported . and my son is now staying with my husbands grandma. can they fight to take my son away from me? or do i have the legal right?

If you shared joint legal custody, when you ex got deported, you got full custody, his parents(grandparents) can move to have visitation, but it is difficult and expensive for the grandparents to get custody.
