I am hoping there might be unprecedented grounds for pursuing "satisfactory departure" designation granted on case by case basis due to this national (and global) emergency that is COVID-19 pandemic. I am a Danish national who has been in US for the past two months. However I am very much in high risk of severe complications if I would get infected, as I already have chronic lung problems. My country has one of the worlds highest percentage of confirmed coronavirus cases per capita. I fear for my life if I have to go back there right now. I have enough funds to support my stay here in US for as long as it takes this pandemic to blow over. I am hoping to connect with an immigration lawyer who believe there is a way to legally make me stay.
CBP can only grant an additional 30 days under satisfactory departure.
You need to make alternative plans & purchase protective facemasks/gloves..
The most that CBP will grant is 30 additional days.
Plus, you must prove that Denmark has no incoming flights available, or that they are not allowing people to enter.
The US government is not being any more flexible/friendly.
Finally, I don't see why this question was classified as asylum, I'll change it to normal immigration.
