My son's father lives 3 hours away in Everett, WA one of the hardest hit areas of COVID. That city announced a stay at home order, and as of midnight my county has now issued one as well. I want to do what's best for my child and the safety of him and others and keep him home until the stay at home orders are lifted. He normally goes to his dad's house every weekend. I read on another question that I could do an emergency temporary order to temporarily stop visitation until the order is lifted and then give make up time as soon as possible (if school is still out or once summer starts). I want to go about this as properly and responsibly as possible while keeping everyone safe. There are other children in my household including a child with underdeveloped lungs and an infant, and I just don't see moving my son between households as a safe or responsible thing to do at this time.
Thanks in advance.
If there was a motion for contempt of court, the judge would probably consider the extenuating circumstances.
