This was Mrs./Ms. Berschler's reply to my question on copyright and public domain books from the 19th century and from before that: "Just a thought to add to Mr. Watson's excellent answer to your question, and that is how do you intend to portray the books on the shelves appearing in the game and then how game players can access the books or portions of a book that a specific character may have read. There could be some intellectual property issues buried in the visual presentation which should also be explored. Good luck, it sounds like an interesting game concept."
First of all, thank you for the concern! On the portraying of the books, I am not only the game's writer, but also who shall draw and animate everything. So the covers are probably going to be generic hard covers with antique designs. You said you found the game concept interesting; if you are interested, it shall be called "Who Hides in the Dark".

By the way, if you are thinking of using the name of the game as a trademark, you will want to be sure there are no prior takers. If it is just going to act as a title for the game, copyright does not protect titles. Good luck, sounds like fun.

rent a center
I bought some furniture fron rent a center in march 2007 I also got insurance in case I got laid off for an extra 9 dollars a week . well they screwed me over a bunch of times on broken couch and other stuff . Well in june 2008 I got laid off and they didnt honor the insurance ive been paying for from them so I keep up with the payments and the beginning of july I move to a cheaper place my payment was due on the first saturday in july I was busy cause I just moved so I didn't make it there to pay them . on this same day they go to my house see that I moved and call my sister saying that I stole their stuff not very nicely . so I call them and get into a big blowup wiyh them and I end up telling them to take me to court I know that I owe them money and I just want them to feal the frustrastion that I have been feeling with them .But am I in criminal trouble with this ?
