Video Royalties

I have a contract with a local company to pay me a percentage of net revenue on a documentary series I co-produced with them. They are supposed to provide me with reports and statements verifying the amount of my royalties. They have sent me a check with no supporting information. My request for this information has been sent to their atty. My right to object is stated in the contract and I fully intend to exercise it. My question is: If I cash the check they sent, am I indicating agreement with their statement? Is there any way that I could cash it and retain my right to object to the statement?

Artwork/Illustrations for book from Internet

I have a collection of antimated icons saved on my computer that were found on various sites of the internet or that were included on emails that various people sent to me... I'm writing a childrens book and have used some of these to illustrate a point or a character. I have no idea where they originated. i.e. which site, etc... What should I do to use these? Is it okay to use them?

Protecting my literary work

I am writing a childrens book. While writing it, and also after it is finished, what should I do to protect my work? Initially, my idea was to have the book professionally bound for my younger neices and nephews as one of their Christmas Gifts. Something they could keep and pass down for years to come. Whether I officially have it published or not, I feel inclined to take some action to protect the literary work. Please advise what steps should be taken? And, how long it takes?

i want to become a us citizenship, and i'm filling the paper work, but i dont really recall if i have put us citizen in any paper work that i have done. what if i put no and at the end i might have or what if i put yes and i havent. what would happened if they found that i have put that i'm us citizen even if i was not?

I am currently going to school to become a elementray school teacher. This past weekend there was a local festival and one of my roommates had a few beers before we left without my knowing. We were in the parking lot and I (22 years old) was drinking a beer downtown (which you could). Apparently I look underage so 4 undercover officer ID'd all of us and found and one was underage. I got a ticket for aiding and abedding. What are my options? How can I ever got this off my record. I want to teach so bad, and this does not look good at all.... I feel as though I am being punished for something I didn't even do. Do you have any suggestions?

They asked us to sign a contract that states things like they can not miss a day unless there is a death or serious illness. My husband and I had a living trust and he passed away, now I am being told by my lawyer that I HAVE to create an A & B trust. My assets do not come close to the maximum inheritance. I recently served a three week suspension and also facing a demotion for supervisory miscunduct.A employee that was on the job with me along with two law officers and a higher ranking supervisor then myself.was charged with drinking on the job and i was told that i was under the influence also and that i told them i drank a beer at lunch break which i did,nt and was never tested either by field sobriety test or breath analiyist. and currently and still have cdl liscence.I work for the new jersey dept.of transportation for 22yrs.

Dumpster Use

There is a dumpster down the road form my house that is not posted in any way shape or form. I was caught using it and may have to go to court. I have pictures of the dumpster from all angles showing the labels on it and its clearly not posted. Illegally sign as POA with husbands permission

My mother in law is my husbands POA at the moment. My husband is away on business and needs to sign a real estate document. My mother in law is in another state and so she cant sign on his behalf. My husband wants me to sign as his POA which i am not. He says this is okay though as he will not question the signed document. I dont want to get in trouble. Can i sign the document as his POA?
