Discrimination on the job

I am a high school public school teacher. I have been teaching for almost 20 years. I have been at my present school for almost 10. I became very close friends with a colleague of mine close to a year ago. She is a teacher also and is from Iran. She had been mistreated here and really had no friends. I became her friend and now I have been mistreated as well. Before becoming friends with her, my teaching file was perfect. Since becoming friends, she has continued to be mistreated by colleagues and administration. Now, it is affecting me and my teaching reputation. I have been harassed and have contacted the EEOC as well. What else should I do at this point? My friend and I are prepared to get a lawyer and fight this.

Re: Discrimination on the job

Merely an allegation of mistreatment

will not be enough even to merit an investigation by the EEOC into your claim(s), without many more specific and relevant facts as to how such alleged conduct on the part of your your employer specifically violated applicable federal and/or state anti-discrimination laws based upon your memebership in a protected class, such as race, sex, ethnicity, religion, etc.
