Divorce

we have been married 31 yr's. Am I entitled to alimony and can he ''hide'' and or keep his retirement from me. Am I not entitled to 1/2 of his retirement. I hear he is ''secretly'' putting in for his retirement..will spend..then say he no longer has the $$. We have not filed yet for Divorce.

Re: Divorce

If you are divorcing, you are entitled to your share of his retirement, which you obtain by doing the proper paperwork. If he has tried to hide assets, you have to do the work to find them by following the paper trail. If he were actually able to spend it all before you can do that, he will owe you the money, but then there is always the issue of getting it.
