Which state would you be filing in? If you want to file in New Jersey, what would be the basis since you appear to be a resident of Colorado? If you recently moved out of NJ, then you may file in NJ but if you don't know the whereabouts of your spouse, you may have to hire an attorney to locate him/her and then file the appropriate papers in the event he/she is not found.
