Guardianship
How does one go about becoming the guardian for a person with developmental disabilities and how much does it cost (initially and annually) in Virginia? Thank you!

One files a petition with the Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court in the city or county where the subject of this petition resides and alleges credible reasons therein as to why the petitioner should be appointed by the court as a guardian of this particular person.
There should be no or merely minimal cost as far as I know to file this particular petition with the J&DR court.
