Homeowner Association

I live in community of 150 homes. We have a Homeowner Association (HOA). Several months ago, one member of the community tried to change some of the rules that governed the community. He was met with strong disapproval from the community. He then started a web page that reported on the actions of the HOA board members. Most information was incorrectly reported. Last month the entire HOA board resigned due to the harassment that they received. I am a new member to the board and question is where does his freedom of speech end and where does my freedom begin.

The community and HOA have their own web site that reports the actions of the meetings. The HOA board has asked the individual to take down his web site. He has not. If my name appears on his web site what legal action can I take?

Re: Homeowner Association

So, because your name appears as an HOA board member on this disgruntled member's web site with allegedly inaccurate reports on board meetings, you'd like to sue him for some alleged defamation?

I see no basis for such a suit in what you've described.
