Intermitent FMLA and being let go due to budgetary reasons

I have gone on Intermitent FMLA with my company within the last 2 weeks due to the medical issues with my son. My boss, who put me on a verbal warning about 4 weeks ago, has let me go due to budgetary reasons. Is this legal and do I have any reprocussion on the company.

Re: Intermitent FMLA and being let go due to budgetary reasons

You need to prove the fmla was the cause..and not budget...you may have a case..how long were you there, etc..it could be expensive and you have to mitigate damages..ie find a job if possible..
