My rights as an employee

Can an employer change your pay after already agreeing to pay you a certain amount? I was hired at $500 a week, but now he decided to cut my pay to $400 a week and still work 40 hours. My next question is What are my rights as someone who gets paid salary? If I'm sick do I get paid? If the weathers bad and I can not get there am I still paid. How many hours am I required to work in one week. In the fall I was working 68 now I work 40 so he thinks I should get paid less even though we agreed to 40 hrs when I started and just once in awhile more.

Re: My rights as an employee

You should get a written statement of your salary benefits, vacation, sick leave policy etc. If not, does the company have an employee manual, handbook etc.?

If not and you are an at-will employee, you can be terminated at any time, your pay can be changed etc.

I should get more info to advise you.
