My Son
My son got beaten up on the school bus yesterday and I want to know what kind of a lawyer I would need and do I need to get one I have a police report and I did call the school and the bus company and they can't be bothered to call me. So is there anyone here who can help me.

Bullying is a bad thing for any child to endure. It is important that your child receive proper support and respect from adults.
To begin, if your boy was badly injured then a personal injury lawyer is important. If the injuries aren't much other than the embarrassment level then an education lawyer would be helpful. A well respected General practicioner who may have been either a teacher, Legal aid or public defender or former Assistant District Attorney may be right for you.
CHildren who are beaten up have to talk about not just the facts but the feelings surrounding the event. Oft times Mom and DAD are not the people they can open up to, so find a good Psychotherapist to bring him to. If you do not know of one, contact me and I will have our firm's forensic Psychotherapist recommend one.
Lastly it is important that the school address this. If you cannot get the PRINCIPAL to meet with you then a lawyer will get his attention. Before bringing in a lawyer however, go to central administration to get a meeting. IF that fails contact a school board member. Finally see if a lawyer will right a few letters.
