Notarize
I returned an item to a dental office
and witnessed the confirmation
signature. Since I am involved in this am I allowed to notarize the document
Re: Notarize
You can have any document notarized by a notary public by paying the notary's fee, showing your ID to the notary and signing the document in the notary's presence. The notary then issues, seals, and signs an affidavit saying that you, John Smith, whose ID was verified, signed the document in his or her presence.
You yourself are not allowed to notarize documents unless you are licensed as a notary. Even if you are a notary, it is improper and probably unlawful for notaries to verify their own signatures on documents.
