when DO I by law have to return a rental car ?\
possesion was by means of a auto accd. me at no fault claim still settled happened on the eighth of dec and they took my own car because it was totalled they said if i give up the rental car this eighth i will be one hundred percent stuck w/ NO MEANS of transpertation at all like i was the first ten days because they didnt give a hoot about their ins driver that was at fault for this three car accident justs so oh rammed my car and me into another .

You need to carefully read your policy, which is a contract with you.
The policy will state whether there are any limits on the length of time you can have the rental.
If the insurance company will be buying you another car, you may have the duty to actively shop for another one.
