Was convicted 6 years ago and im currently on mail out reports where I report every 3 months. Had this problem for years but as I'm getting older it has progressively got worst, where I need to seek medical help.. worried about taking the prescription because I know probation officers can be tough sometimes. The probation is originally out of Johnson County, TX
I would just add that if your probation officer is OK then you still need to keep in mind that Xanax (Alprazolam) is an intoxicant and you can absolutely be convicted of DWI if you drive after taking it.
For the purposes of DWI, the term "Intoxicated" is defined as not having the normal use of mental or physical faculties by reason of the introduction of alcohol, a controlled substance, a drug, a dangerous drug, a combination of two or more of those substances, or any other substance into the body.
Take the prescription to your probation officer and you should not have a problem. If your PO does have an issue, call your attorney. Good luck.
