My daughter lives three hours away. I pick her up and drive her back to my house every other weekend. Her mother has threatened to withhold visitation if: (1) mother determines herself that visitation proves a risk; or, (2) there is a stat-at-home order by the Governor. Can my Daughter’s mother withhold visitation during this COVID situation?
During these unsure times, there is no straight-forward answer as to how stay-at-home orders may affect child visitation.
If there was a motion for contempt of court, the judge would probably consider the extenuating circumstances.
