I am 1 of 5 members of a board. Can I sue a member of the board for mental anguish?

A Pennsylvania attorney could advise best, but your post remains open for a week. As a general premise, mental anguish could possibly be an element of a claim that involves substantial physical injuries. Additionally, there is the tort of intentional infliction of emotional distress. However, keep in mind that intentional tort cases are unlike typical injury claims involving car accidents or slip and fall cases that attorneys readily handle on contingency. Cases of this type (there isn't much in the way of details in your description, and that's just as well, as this is probably something you'd want to discuss with an attorney in confidence and not on a public forum) are sometimes handled on an hourly fee basis, which is something you might not want to pursue, given the uncertainty of some legal actions. You could contact attorneys in Pennsylvania and see if it is something they would be interested in discussing further with you, AND if it would be something cost-effective to pursue.
