Ask local lawyers in your area if they need interns or clerical help on a part-time basis. If so, you could go to their office for a few hours a week to get a chance to observe how a law office runs. There are a number of different facets to working in the legal field - court appearances, client briefing, legal researching, clerical tasks, and more. The more you observe, the better an idea you'd have as to whether you'd want to work in the field. And read books about the law; that would help also. A good part of law school involves reading cases and summarizing them and identifying legal issues.
