I am pregnant ready any day now. I was originally trying to help them out by letting them stay with me with an understanding they were going to pay rent and help with national grid, WiFi etc. However, it is month 3 and they have not paid all of their share, are threatening to kick me out of my apartment. They are not on the lease. Everything is closed, police said all I can do is take them to court, but that’s very frustrating there has to be some loophole. Any advice, help would be much appreciated
You can contact your local authorities. All evictions are stayed due to Coronavirus. You can consider speaking with an attorney in area regarding your legal options if possible.
You cannot even take them to court since the State shut down all eviction courts. If they threaten you file police charges. Perhaps police will arrest and the local District Attorney order they stay away from you.
